元日は田毎の日こそ恋しけれ　

芭蕉は、昨秋の姨捨の月と過ごした日々を懐かしみながらの歳旦句を詠んで元禄二年(1689)の元旦を迎えました。

本日1月3０日は旧暦では一月九日なので正月行事もようやく一段落し、隅田川越しに望む上野の山の桜や遠く塩釜の桜を夢見ながら、芭蕉は深川の庵でくつろいでいます。

On New Year’s Day, I miss the Suns on the rice terraces.

大年初一　想念梯田的太陽

Basho wrote a New Year's haiku, feeling nostalgic for the beautiful moons in the terraced rice fields of Mt. Obasute last autumn.

Today, January 30th, is January 9th in the lunar calendar. With the New Year's events coming to an end, Basho is relaxing at his hermitage in Fukagawa, Edo.

芭蕉寫下了新年俳句，懷念去年秋天姨捨山梯田的明月。

今天，1月30日，是農曆一月九日。新年活動即將結束，芭蕉正在他位於江戸深川的隱居處休息。

翻訳では太陽としていますが、この俳句には、姨捨で過ごした日々が恋しいという意味が重なっているように思えます。「日」には太陽と日々の日という二つの意味があるからです。

Although the translation is the sun, this haiku has the meaning of missing the days spent in Obasute.　This is because the Japanese word “hi” has two meanings: the sun and the day.

譯為太陽，這首俳句有懷念在姨捨度過的日子的意思。這是因為日語單詞“日”有兩個意思：太陽和日子。

この年三月二十七日（新暦5月16日）、芭蕉は深川を出立しておくのほそ道の途に就くことになります。芭蕉の行程に寄り添いながらおくのほそ道の旅をお伝えしていければとブログを開設しました。どうぞよろしくお願いします。

On March 27 (lunar calendar, AD May 16) of this year, Basho left Fukagawa and set out on the narrow road to Oku.  I opened this blog to tell you about Basho's journey on the narrow road in a timely manner.
