おくのほそ道芭蕉便り　Narrow Road to Oku,News from Basho 奥州小道芭蕉的消息

「 春立てる霞の空に、白川の関こえむと、そゞろがみの、物につきてこゝろをくるはせ、道祖神のまねきにあひて、取るもの手につかず、もゝ引の破れをつづり、笠の緒付かへて、三里に灸すゆるより、松島の月先心にかゝりて、住る方は人に譲りて、杉風が、別墅に移るに、　 草の戸も住替る代ぞひなの家 」（ 「おくのほそ道」) この句は、 元禄二年三月三日(1689年4月22日)、庵の新しい住人が桃の節句に飾った雛人形を詠んだものです。本 日4月22日は旧暦の三月三日ですので、 新・旧暦でも同じ334年前の今日にあたる日となります。じつは、今年2023年は、芭蕉が奥州行脚した元禄二年(1689年)と新暦、旧暦それぞれの月日がほぼ一致するという、少し珍しい年周りにあたります。言い換えますと、今年の季と月の満ち欠けは、元禄二年とほぼ同じになるということで、334年前の桃の節句には、桃の花はもちろん桜もほぼ終わり、2023年の今日の夕方西の空には334年前と同じ三日月がかかります。（写真は、元禄雛 「金堂まちなみ保存会」HPより ) ”When spring came and there was mist in the air, I thought crossing the Barrier of Shirakawa into Oku. 　2023年3月27日の334年前の今日、元禄二年二月七日(AD1689.3.27)に塔山江戸旅亭で、芭蕉が出座した七吟歌仙興行がありました。大垣藩士である塔山の江戸出府を歓迎する興行でしたが、おくのほそ道への旅発ちを前にした芭蕉餞別の会でもありました。芭蕉の発句に、旅に同行することになる曽良が脇をつけ、亭主の塔山が第三を詠みました。 　かげろふのわが肩に立つ紙子哉／水やはらかに走り行音／杣のやに独活のあへものあつらへて 11日前の閏一月二十五日にも塔山旅亭で催された連句会には、芭蕉、曽良と共に路通も連座して、曽良が発句、塔山が脇、路通が第三、芭蕉が第四句を詠んでいます。同月頃の猿雖宛書簡でも、芭蕉は路通のことを「能(よき)道づれ、堅固の修行、道の風雅の乞食尋出し、隣庵に朝夕かたり候而、此僧にさそはれ、ことしもわらぢにてとしをくらし申す可くと、うれしくたのもしく、あたゝかになるを待侘て居申候」と書いていますので、この頃(閏一月下旬から二月初め)に、おくのほそ道の同行者が路通から曽良に変更されたのかもしれません。 On March 27, 2023, 334 years ago today, on February 7, Genroku2 (March 27, 1689), there was a Renku performance attended by Basho at Tozan's Edo lodgings.
